Gallery of Famous American Evangelicals

This section highlights some of the most important, influential, and innovative figures in the sweep of American evangelical history.  The selections are, of course, subjective but seek to recognize a broad sampling of prominent evangelicals across a variety of denominational, theological, regional, ethnic, and racial spectra during the movement’s history.  For purposes of inclusion in our gallery potential candidates’ impact had to fall before the year 2000 (and, if still alive, had to have made what ISAE staff and general historical consensus agrees is a significant impact before that date).
